It's been 14 years since we lost our Roger (black cocker spaniel) and we've had other wonderful pets since, but I just can't really talk about Roger to this day without getting choked up.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12046490680107521495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2879042817109440814.post-2890902656485979472008-03-29T12:09:00.000-07:002008-03-29T12:09:00.000-07:00It's amazing how pets find a way into our hearts, ...It's amazing how pets find a way into our hearts, curl up, and make a home! Your Abby sounds like she was wonderful.

I'm new to book blogging and have been surfing around from a list on Garutami's site. I see that you've recently read a couple of Jodi Picoult's novels. I agree with you about Plain Truth. It was a bit tedious and predictable and I, too, saw the ending coming.

I disagree with you about Jesse in My Sister's Keeper, though. I loved him and thought he was necessary to show what happens when a child is pushed aside. In fact, it was during his scenes that I cried the most.

I just finished Nineteen Minutes a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I wrote a poem about it and posted it on my poetry blog.

After that I read Stephen King's latest and started my reading blog with it.

Next up will be Picoult's newest Change of Heart.

Thanks for your interesting and well-written blog; I'll be back to scroll through.Linda Jacobshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14459940700516084069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2879042817109440814.post-53367850887084301852008-03-28T19:47:00.000-07:002008-03-28T19:47:00.000-07:00Literary - Thanks for your thoughts. Daisy is loving yet aloof ... everything you'd want in a cat.

Pres - I'm convinced she's having a great time and has found her previous owner so he can carry her around some more!

Joy - Thanks for the sweet words. We have been sharing memories of her all week.

Wendy - How interesting. We always called her our furperson. She always seemed more mature than a child to us.

cj - Thanks for your words. Yes, there is a hole, but we are not racing to fill it.
