Friday Fill-In

1. The last compliment I got was from a parent; he/she said that they were pleased with the way I handled a difficult situation.
2. I'm reading The Book Thief which has been highly recommended on a number of blogs.
3. I woke up today and thoughtthree day weekend coming!
4. Why does it always seem like good or bad things happen in threes!.
5. The last thing I ate was an ice cream sandwich called an Its It.
6. January... cold and Open House time at school.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to movie night (it was Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone), tomorrow my plans include taking in a jazz concert for date night and Sunday, I want to do nothing but I really have to help Surfer Girl finish her science project and we still need to take down the Christmas tree!

It's so nice to be acknowledged when you do something well, isn't it?

Yes, the three day weekend is ahead of us at last!

Do they still make Its Its? I haven't seen those since I was in middle school--and that was a very long time ago!

Have a great weekend! Enjoy the jazz concert tomorrow night--that sounds like so much fun.

Well, I feel much better now. Our tree finally came down last Monday and I thought I was the last one in town.

Enjoy the long weekend. And now I have to check out The Book Thief.

I've heard great things about The Book Thief too. I've moved it up on my booklist now! Thanks for the tip.

How nice they acknowledged it! Parents can surprise you at times. Be prepared to cry. It's a very sad book but an absolutely amazing one. Enjoy your extended weekend - no holiday for me.

The Book Thief!! I loved this book! I am right in the middle of righting my review for it right now, hope to have it up over the weekend. I hope you enjoy it. Once past the first 20 pages or so, I really got into it! Couldn't put it down!

I had to google Its It...looks yummy! HP and the sorcerer's stone is my favorite so far...young Tom Riddle is quite adorable!

Literary - My husband actually found them in our local market. We didn't know they still made them either. Surfer Girl loved them.

Pres - Trees down - just the packing up to go!

Barbhope and cj - I'm in the last 50 pages. It's amazing. I'm waiting until Surfer Girl goes to bed so I can finish without interruptions.

mawbooks - I'll visit when I finish the book.

Janet - They are!
